Lesson Program Policies

Late Cancellation / No Show Fee:

A $25.00 fee will be applied to your account if you do not cancel or reschedule your riding lesson at least 24 hours before your scheduled riding lesson.

We enjoy allowing the flexibility of paying for lessons as you go. We accept Cash, Checks and Credit Cards as payment for lessons. However, all late cancellation/no show fees will need to be paid by credit card. You will be contacted and asked to keep an active credit card on file if you are a late cancellation or no show.

Late Cancellations are any cancellation less than 24 hours prior to the lesson time. If you need to cancel or reschedule your riding lesson please call us or login to our interactive lesson scheduling program (Mind Body) as soon as possible to avoid a fee.

No Shows are any time you have a riding lesson scheduled and you fail to cancel it and do not arrive for your scheduled lesson.

Riding Lesson Sessions- No Show Policy If a student is unable to attend their lesson and does not call at least 24 hours in advance to cancel the student will not be offered a make up lesson and will not be refunded for the missed lesson.

Riding Lesson Sessions- Make Up Policy If a student cancels their lesson with advanced notice, they will be given a 10-day grace period to make up their lesson. If the student does not retake their missed lesson in that time frame, they will not be able to make it up and they will not be refunded for the missed lesson.

All our riding lessons are scheduled in a program called Mind Body. There is a link to this program on the 'Home' page and 'Lessons' page of our website. Click on the blue button that says "Schedule Now".

Everyone should have a username and password to this account. Usernames are usually your email address. If you have never been on this site or you have forgotten your password please call the office at 951-302-6045 and we can assist you. Please do not create a New Account. You are already in our system and we do not want to create duplicates.

The Mind Body program allows you to schedule, reschedule and cancel your lessons. It will also allow you to add your payment information and view your previous and future lesson schedule.

Re-Occurring Lessons are when you set up a lesson day and time and this repeats every week or every other week for a determined amount of time. This is very convenient if your lesson schedule is consistent. However, if your schedule is not consistent it may be more appropriate for you to set up your lesson week to week. This will keep you from accidently missing a lesson and incurring fees.

Please keep in mind that some of our lesson times fill up quickly and advance scheduling is always suggested.

Credit Card Processing - Cash or Check preferred. Those paying with a credit card will be subject to a convivence fee of 2.5%. Visa and Mastercard accepted only.

Riding Lesson Sessions - Payments - Students who pay in full before their session start date will receive a $45.00 discount. If you are unable to pay in full you will have the option to pay the first half ($225.00) by the start date and the second half ($225.00) by the fifth week of your session. There is no discount when using the payment plan option.

Safety Policies

Riding Supervision - GAR Lesson Program Students and Interns must ride with an Instructor or with adult supervision at all times.

Helmet Policy - GAR Lesson Program Students and Interns under 18 years old must wear an ASTM approved riding helmet or hard hat while handling a horse at all times.

Lesson Barn Safety - For safety purposes only lesson students, interns, and instructors may enter the lesson barn area. Parents and friends are welcome to watch barn activities from our lunch tables across the way.

Property Use - GAR Lesson Program Students and Interns must remain on the top portion of the GAR property. Students and Interns may only go to the lower portions of the GAR property if given permission by an Instructor.

Horse Use - GAR Lesson Program Students and interns must refrain from riding or handling any horse at GAR that is not an active lesson horse unless they have obtained management’s permission in advance.
