Green Acres Ranch supports both Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts in their journey through scouting. We have developed programs specifically designed to help Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts earn their horse and animal science badge requirements. Our curriculum stresses safety and education. All the programs are "hands on" and are presented in an exciting and memorable approach.
We offer scout activities on Saturday and Sunday afternoons begining at 12:00pm. This program runs 2-3 hours (depending on size of troop). Girls will have hands on experience learning safety, grooming, horse science, tacking, leading and riding. Helmets are provided and all riding will be in a large arena. The girls will also go on a guided walking tour of our 50+ acre ranch. We have a variety of animals that live on the ranch including cattle, goats, sheep and chickens. We can accommodate up to 20 Girl Scouts per session. We have a very nice group area with picnic tables and shade to enjoy your snack or sack lunches (you provide). Girls will be given a Green Acres Ranch Fun Patch at the end of the session.
$350 for a patch earning session accommodating up to 10 scouts. A $50 non-refundable deposit will hold your date.
$30 for each additional rider
